September Wishlist

Bonjour!

Haven't done one of these in a while, but here are my main picks for this month. As you can see everything is rather dark, I seem to be hating anything colourful at the minute. Meh, what can you do.

1. Just a Bite - MAC - £15.00
2. Tassled Bag - H&M - £19.99
3. Shoes - New Look - £24.99
4. Cross Earrings - River Island - £15.00
5. Pack of 2 Rings - ASOS - £15.00
6. Fluffy Cardigan - River Island - £40.00

I think I am actually going to make it my mission to buy ALL of these things this month (highly unrealistic!), I desperately want the shoes, cardi and lipstick. I feel like I would actually sell my soul for the lipstick. I have sat gazing it at it adoringly for the past 15 minutes, IT WILL BE MINE!

Life Lately

Hey :)

It has literally been months since I last did a blog post, I got a new job and my life just sort of revolved around that for a few months whilst I was getting used to it. But (hopefully) I am going to stop neglecting my blog and get back into the swing of things! Just thought I would do a catch up post because obviouslyyyyyy people wanna know what I have been doing - I joke, I joke.

This pretty much sums up my life over the past few months, I went on holiday with my boy, got a bit too drunk with my girls and overall it's been crackin'!

OOTD #6

Alriiiiight :)

Pinafore - River Island
Crop Top - New Look
Cardigan - Primark
Shoes - Primark
(Evil zombie eyes)

Hi guyz! I think I am finally trying to balance working full time and having a blog - effort. This week I am going to be focussing on making a costume for my friends birthday night out on the 25th, we are doing an Otley Run in Leeds (ridiculously long pub crawl for those of you that don't know). A big group of us are going and we all have to dress up as something beginning with L - her name is Lauren - and I have decided to be The Little Mermaid. I'm going to look ridic, although we all will. We've got lollipop men, lego and lobsters to name a few. I will deffo be putting a post up about it (depending on how crappy my costume is!)

Hope you all have a good week, don't do anything I wouldn't do - which isn't a lot.

This is my pay day wishlist, I get paid at the end of the month and I will literally be confirming my order at 12am on the dot! It feels like ages since I have been able to buy myself any decent clothes, I can't deal with it. Apologies for not posting for a while, I started my new job about 2 weeks ago and to be honest I have just been knackered. I'm really enjoying it though and I'm enjoying the unlimited books that come with it, such a good works perk. I'm going to try my best to get more posts done, but don't hold me to anything. Hope you all had a good bank holiday last weekend, I spent mine in a drunken mess, in a tent in Ashbourne and in a rowing boat. It was definitely interesting.

Back.

Hiyaaaa!

After what feels like chuffing ages (two weeks), I'm back. I lost my blogging mojo completely. I have had quite frankly the shittiest few months of my life but things are on the up because... I GOT A JOB (a job that I actually really, really wanted!!!!!!!).

(Celebration dance)

I will back to normal-ish blogging later this week when I have got my act together! Hope your week is going well, never thought I would ever say this but I'm actually loving the sunshine!

Hulloooo!

Blazer - River Island
Polo - Asos
Skirt - Internacionale
Boots - Quiz
Bag - H&M
Necklace - Asos

Estee Lauder Double Wear, Collection Concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte, Technic High Lights, Benefit Top Blusher, Eyelure Eyebrow Pencil, Collection Liquid Eyeliner, Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara, Barry M Cherry Red Lipstick

This is the outfit I wore last night when me and my boyf Tom went on a date night in Nottingham. We did three loops round town trying to find somewhere to eat and eventually ended up in La Tasca, best decision we have ever made! So goooooood. Ended up ordering way too much food and feeling slightly sick! We then went to Coco Tang for some cocktails, I decided to go for a Lychee Martini (ew, tasted like hand soap and I was trying to be sophiticated) and Tom had a Mojito (much better choice). We had a really good night and I got to showcase my new bag that I am full on in love with, even though every man I know thinks it's hideous *sob*.

Hope you're all having a fab week! I'm proper looking forward to the weekend, potential house party is happening so I'm bound to be sliiiightly intoxicated!

April Wishlist

1. Topshop £29
2. Asos - Prickly Pear £3.99
3. Office £54.99
4. Topshop £14
5.
River Island £25
6.
River Island £10
7.
Topshop - Black Cab £7

I have come to the realisation that pretty much my whole wardrobe is either black or white. Not cool, definitely not cool. I need to throw some colour in there, especially with the weather warming up (fingers crossed). I'm going on holiday in July to the South of France and rather than bulk buying the whole of Primark before I go, I want to build up some holiday clothes over the months before.

1. I am the most un-girly girl in the world, I do NOT do pink. However, I really, really like this dress. In my head I feel like I would wear it all the time during summer, but in reality i'm not so sure. I'm going to keep my eye on it and will no doubt end up buying it in some kind of 'I can wear anything' moment.

2. I'm loving these Gelly polishes, I went through a phase of wanting my nails really matte all the time but i'm bored of that now and tbh I like a bit of shine! Prickly Pear is such a nice spring/summer colour and I have been wanting a lilac colour for my collection for flippin' ages.

3. Right, I have got this thing about leopard print. I literally will be Bet Lynch when I'm an old woman. I will just kit myself from head to toe in it and will no doubt still have red hair. My kindle case, phone case and purse (to name only a few) are all leopard print. It's a problem. I have been wanting either vans or converse for ages, especially to take on holiday with me annnnd obvs these are perfection. I will be the poster girl for mutton dressed as lamb when I hit 50, fo' sho'.

4. NEED THIS TSHIRT.

5. In my head I have wanted a button down skirt for ages, River Island have got a few nice ones in at the moment.. as always I was drawn to the black one. But I stopped myself and went for the light denim one instead, self control and all that. I just think it will be really summery and nice on holiday. (Literally not going to stop talking about going on holiday, my bad).

6. I have worn Aviators for yearsssssss, a couple of years ago I switched to Ray Ban style glasses and now I am about to take on round sunglasses. I have got kind of a fat head sooo I'm guessing this isn't going to go too well, but I have made my mind up and I will wear them regardless. NO ONE CAN STOP ME.

7. When I bought my last liquid eyeliner I was being a cheapskate, it's collection 2000 and it's sh*t. It just cracks and peels and is generally just plain old rubbish. Last time I went into Topshop I tried this on my hand and it didn't come off for like a whole day/night so I'm gonna give it a whirl and hopefully I won't be looking like I have slept in my makeup after a few hours of wearing it!

I really amused myself about the whole Bet Lynch/Mutton Dressed as Lamb ting. This is literally me in 30 years - winning at life.

This is NOT a Mini Haul (it is)

Holla!

Just a quick one today, this is basically a mini haul but I literally can not bring myself to use that word. It gives me a cold shiver. I wanted to do a post of my recent Internet buys because I am excited and mainly I just want the whole world to see my new bag. I prefer to do my shopping online, it's so much easier doing it in the comfort of your own home where you can look like a slob and not worry that the security guard in Superdrug thinks you're a shoplifter (I'm not a shoplifter, but the guy follows me and Idle round EVERY time... asswipe). I'm going waaay off on a tangent, my bad!

 Satchel - Ebay

This is my new baby, I ordered it off Ebay earlier this week and it arrived literally the next day. I am in love. I featured this in my March Wishlist and it has been saved on my favourites for around two months and I finally bit the bullet and ordered it. It's a bit bigger than I thought it was going to be but I honestly have nothing bad to say about it at all. It's possibly my favourite thing I have ever owned, soooo purrdy.

Necklace - Asos

I have an ever growing collection of gold chains, I just can't get enough. I saw this on Asos and really liked it, it was £8 so pretty cheap really. I think it will look really nice with my denim shirt or a polo neck crop top.

St Tropez Body Lotion Sample - Latest in Beauty
Highlights by Technic - Amazon

I ordered the St Tropez body lotion sample because I bought my mum the Anti-Ageing Bible box from Latest in Beauty and I needed to spend a couple more quid to get free delivery, haaaa cheapskate. I'm so glad I did though, I used it for the first time on Friday night and it's so nice. It's not like caking on a load of fake tan, it has little flecks of glitter in it so leaves you looking glowing. I'm really impressed with it and will definitely be using it when I want to feel less like a ghost.

I have been debating getting a high lighter for weeks, at first I was looking at getting Benefit High Beam but the price is just redonkulous. I was just browsing through Amazon and saw the Technic High Lights dupe, I snapped it up as it was only about £1.80. I'm really looking forward to trying it out and if it's a heap of crap I can't complain that it cost a bomb!

Hope you all had a great Easter and aren't currently in some kind of Easter egg coma?

A Month in Photos - March

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

I thought I would do a sort of round up of the month in photo form, I have always liked instagram posts because I'm just plain old nosey annnnd it's nice to look back and see what's been poppin' throughout the month.

1. Me... Posing. 2. A close up of Yogi's nose. 3. Afternoon of doodles 4. World's creepiest
face mask/Gimp mask. 5. Carrot cake cupcakes. 6.Teaching the bf how to bake. 7.Friday night essentials. 8. NOTD - Barry M Lychee and Models Own Dancing Queen. 9. Jesus' trendy new haircut. 10. Far too drunk with my best one. 11. Before being far too drunk with my best one. 12. Boyf's new tap penis. 13. CUTEST PICTURE OF YOGI EVAAA. 14. A jar of tentacles - vom. 15. The height difference between Idle and I. 16. A tiny wheely bin that is now my makeup brush holder.

Overall March has been a pretty good month! I started something that should hopefully lead to something good career-wise, had some banging nights out with my girls annnnd booked a holiday with my lovely boyfriend. Fingers crossed April lives up to something good. Hope you have all had a good month and have a lovely Easter!

OOTD #4

Hiya!

Hat - Dorothy Perkins
Tshirt - Ebay
Skirt - Asos
Shirt - Internacionale
Creepers - Primark
Watch - Michael Kors

Hope you're having a good week peeps? This week has been such a slow burner, since Tuesday it has felt like it should have been Friday! I wore this when I went out yesterday to run some errands... and of course I ended up at the pub in the evening (everyone of these outfit posts has included the pub/alcohol... awkward). I bought the tshirt and shirt this week, I needed to buy things to put me in a better mood - it didn't work. But yeahhhhh, I love my 'Feline Meow' tshirt, it's a rip off of the 'Celine' tshirt's that everyone in the world owns... although I would quite like one myself. It was only £7.99 on Ebay, with free delivery as well so it was a right bargain! I'm quite excited for the long weekend and Easter, I'm going out tonight with my boyfriend for some cocktails in Nottingham. LONG ISLAND ICE TEA GET DOWN MY NECK.

I have waffled long enough! Hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend and if you can't be good, be careful!

The Basics

This is just a little post about my everyday makeup. I am one of those people that tend to not leave the house with out makeup on (what a sorry life I lead), although I can give or take the eyeliner and lipstick. ANYWAY!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Sample - Ecru
Mac Pressed/Select Sheer - NW15
Benefit Pink Family Top Blusher
Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer and Highlighter - 010 Ivory
Collection Concealer - Natural 2
Ecotools Stippling Brush
Barbara Daly Blusher Brush
Eyelure Eyebrow Pencil - Dark to Medium
Collection Liquid Eyeliner
Rimmel Lipstick - 170 Alarm

I went into town recently and my friends bullied talked me into getting matched up for the Double Wear Estee Lauder foundation to get a sample. I was dead against it because I would never spend £27 on a foundation, but OH MY GOD. Best foundation ever. I have a hard time with foundation as it is because my skin tends to be quite dry so this is just a revelation. I know my friends are gonna read this, so I apologise... I will be buying it when I get some dollar... you guys where right. Its really good coverage and I still feel like my skin can breath! I also bought the Collection concealer for around my eyes, I get the world's worst bags/dark circles underneath my eyes and so far I am pretty impressed with it. It seems to be doing the job I intended it to and it was cheapy cheap so I can't complain. I'm not going to go into detail about everything I use because I obviously love it all otherwise I wouldn't be using it everyday! But these are my basics, I would be lost without them.

Please enjoy this extremely close up picture of my face.

Ciao!

March Wishlist - Part Deux

1. Atlas Watch - Urban Outfitters £26
2. Line Up the Bitches Tshirt - Michael Agwunobi £39
3. Lipstick in Biguiled - Topshop £8
4. Flatforms - River Island £45
5. Belt - River Island £15
6. Animal Earrings - Topshop £8.50
7. Denim Jacket - River Island £50

I had planned to do a wishlist once a month.. seems that isn't happening then! I have seen waaaaay too many things I want, highly depressing let me tell you.

1. I already have my Michael Kors watch but I feel too frightened to wear it, so it's now my special occassion watch. I have wanted an 'every day' watch for ages and I have been wearing a Casio watch that doesn't work that my friend Lauren kindly gave me. This atlas watch would be purrrrrrfect, and it has got a pretty face.

2. So everyone in the blogger world has a Celine tshirt it seems, BUT LOOK AT THIS ONE!! I mean I might be extremely slow off the mark and this might have been around for ages, but I saw it crop up on Tumblr a few days ago and I hunted it down. I really, really love it, but the price is pretty steep so I am going to wait and try and hunt it down on Ebay for cheapy cheaps.

3. I went into town last week to specifically get a Topshop lipstick because I had a gift card and I ended up coming out with the most boring, plain browny colour known to man. I looked at 'beguiled' whilst I was there and talked myself out of buying it, idiot. This WILL be the next one I buy, it's such a nice shade.

4. I am currently stuck in a rut shoe-wise, I seem to only wear my trusty black boots every time I go on a night out at the minute. Being 5'11 I refuse to go out in flats or kitten heels - ew - and I can't wear platform heels or anything too high as my friends are mainly all midgets (love you guyzzzz). So I have started to wear flatforms, when they first came about I stayed well clear because I thought they would be really unflattering but what a revelation! They are now my new favourite and I NEED these, how are nice are they though? I will not hear a bad word said about them.

5. I already have this belt with 'hollaback' written across it, I have worn it to death and I only got it for Christmas. I have now seen this one and I have to have this too, I have no explanation why... I just have to have it.

6. I desperately need some studs as all of mine seem to have done a disappearing act. I stupidly decided to get three more piercings in one ear when I was about 16-17 and I have been at a stud shortage ever since. These earrings are so cute, who wouldn't want an elephant and a little fat dog in their ear? Come onnnnnnn.

7. I need a new jacket. I wear my blazer and leather jacket all the time and I want a new addition to the jacket family. I have been on the hunt for a denim jacket, but more of an over sized fit than a cropped one. So far the only half decent ones I have seen have been on Ebay and have always sold before I have the money to buy them. I came across this a few days ago and it's a military style jacket so it will be over sized annnd it's quite long which is a bonus. I really like all the little details on the pockets and down the zip hem.

That was some heavy reading, congrats if you actually made it to the end!

OOTD #3

Bonsoir!

Dress - Internacionale
Chelsea Boots - Quiz
Watch - Casio

First off I would just like to apologise for the lack of posts recently, I'm putting it down to starting a volunteering job/not being bothered. My baaaad. Secondly I would like to apologise for my arms in this picture, it's the best of a bad bunch and quite frankly I couldn't be bothered to take more pictures because it started to rain. Anyway, apologies out of the way, this is the dress I recently featured in my March Wishlist. I wore this dress on Saturday when I went for a night out with my gally's, one too many drinks were had and it's safe to say I definitely did NOT look like this when I rolled into bed at 3am.

I think these pictures pretty much sum up the night, I may or may not have stolen them from Idle and JoJo. I can't be trusted with a phone on a night out as I have been known to lose a phone... or five, so I canny take pictures.

Hope you're all having a great week so far! I have got a post planned for Thursday as it's my day off so watch out y'all.

Nails... bro

 Hello!

Just a quick nail post, I have been wanting to do another outfit post for a few days but the weather here has been horrific and I didn't fancy standing outside in the rain/sleet/snow to be honest. Anywho!

Topshop Eclipse - £6.00
Barry M Lychee - £3.99

I felt like it was time to update my nail varnish collection, I currently HATE all of my nail varnish and I keep using the same dark blue MAC colour every time I paint my nails. I bought these two on Friday when I went into to town with my friend Lauren and they were both free WOOOO!! The Topshop one was bought with a gift card I had at the back of my purse and the Barry M Gelly polish was bought using my Boots advantage card points. Apologies in advance for the crap pictures/nail painting technique!

Topshop Eclipse

I have been lusting after this Topshop nail varnish for a couple of weeks, I featured it on my March Wishlist last week. I loooooved the colour of this on the bottle but no matter how many coats I put on it just stayed a gold colour and didn't really shine a blue/green like I thought it would. I still love the colour and it has stayed on really well with no chipping after a few days. I'm glad I didn't pay for it though, £6.00 for a nail varnish seems a bit steep to me (such a cheapskate!).

Barry M Lychee

I LOVE THIS NAIL VARNISH, there isn't much else to say really other than this is perfectionnnnn. I have wanted a nude colour for a while but I'm fussy and they have either been too pink or too brown. But this - oh my gawd - is my favourite colour ever. I can already envisage myself being obsessed and wearing it to death.

Anyway, that's all from me!

March Wishlist

1. Acid Wash Polo Crop Top - Newlook - £9.99
2. Satchel - Ebay - £22.95
3. 'Eclipse' Nail Polish - Topshop - £6.00
4. Chunky Necklace - Newlook - £6.99
5. Skater Skirt - Topshop - £25.00
6. Aztec Skater Dress - Internacionale - £12.99

1. I lurrrrrrve this crop top! I've always been a bit cautious of polo necks, especially those with no sleeves because I'm quite broad. HOWEVER, it's a revelation! I recently bought a white one from New Look and it's my new favourite top, this one would be a nice little addition to my top family.

2. Be still my beating heart, I have been lusting after this bag since I saw it on VIPXO's weekly Ebay post. I don't know what's wrong with me because usually I don't like any kind of girly colours... but I need it, now.

3. I'm in a nail polish rut, recently I have found myself hating my whole collection. This is the first colour I have seen in quite a while where I felt like I needed it in my life and on my nails alwaysss.

4. If you know me, you know I like a nice chunky gold chain - the chavvier the better. My favourite one has gone kind of tarnished and it's breaking my heart. I think it's time to move on and buy this one because it's so much nicer anyway!

5. This skirt is called a 'blanket skirt' (yeah, i have no idea either). If you look at the close up of it on the Topshop website it seems like it is a woolly material. I'm sick of wearing black skater skirts all the time, soooo I'm branching out to grey - how adventurous.

6. I actually ordered this dress last night, I have been looking at it on the website for a few weeks and have become more and more obsessed with it. If it arrives and it's hideous I'm going to throw it at someone. Serious.

I have just realised I have waffled on quiiiite a bit, my bad guyz. Anyway, if anyone I know happens to see this post, BUY ME DEEZ TINGZ. See ya!

OOTD #2

Hulloooo!

It seems the second OOTD post was just as awkward to photograph as the first, I made my boyfriend take some pictures of me because David Bailey (my mum) was at work. After him telling me 'put your leg on the wall' I called it a day... roll on payday so I can buy a tripod!

Jacket - Dorothy Perkins
Dress - Matalan
Belt - River Island
Flatform Boots - River Island

Cheeky little photo of Yogi

I wore this yesterday when I went on the warpath with my boyfriend to try and get my phone working again, it hasn't been working for a WHOLE month and I was getting to the point where I was about to rip someones face off at Orange. Finally a nice little man on a market stall in Mansfield fixed it for a tenner, top boi. After the whole phone drama we went to the pub (seems as though I live there) for some food and a stiff drink.

I feel like I'm kind of getting the hang of how this whole blog thing works now and I want to start updating more regularly so expect big things!! (jokes).

Anyway, I will leave you with this beautiful picture of me and my boyfriend Tom - Ciao!

OOTD #1

Bonjour!

So this is my first outfit post, I can honestly say it was the most awkward time of my life standing there with my mum taking pictures of me whilst she was pretending to be David Bailey. I need some kind of tripod asap because I don't think I can deal with my mum shouting 'work it for the camera' again.

I wore this the other day when I went to town to keep my friend Lauren company whilst she went on a tonk shopping spree (most depressing time of my life, zero dollar and all that). Finally after we spent what felt like an hour in Superdrug we went to meet the rest of our friends at the pub and I think I got tipsy after one dirty pint - classy bird/lightweight.

Black Cherry

Well hello!

Barry M - Black Cherry

I'm a proper cheapskate and I love a good bargain, so when I saw this Barry M lippy on Amazon for like £2.50 I snapped it up. Like most girl's I rave over Mac lipsticks, my all time fave got mashed up so badly it had to be chucked (RIP Russian Red), but I just can't justify spending £14.00 again on one lipstick.

So much waffle! Anyway, it arrived and I immediately fell in love (but not with the 80's pink case). It's the kind of lipstick you have to build up to get the dark 'black cherry' colour, but I think thats what I like about it, it can be as dark or as light as you want it to be. It's so far seen me through a couple of nights out and it's stayed on really well. Although I would recommend using lip liner with it, I tried without and it tended to bleed quite easily.

All in all you can't really complain for £2.50 can you? I will defnitely be adding a few more Barry M colours to my ever growing lipstick collection!

And so it begins...

Hola!

(I look mental and Yogi is TERRIFIED)

I’m Sophie and I’m 22 from Nottingham. For the past year and a half I have been following blogs and wishing that I could build up the courage to start one myself. Pure boredom, being out of a job and good old peer pressure from friends has FINALLY made me bite the bullet. So here I am with my own little space on the internet (I’m crapping myself).

Anywho, expect to be hearing from me again soon when I have figured out what the hell I am doing with this thing!
